I think if I were going to say anything to encompass all the members of our grove it would be that we are all BUSY! Is it the winter solstice already? Though each member seems busier than ever we all make time to ritual and celebrate the seasons together. There is a pattern to the year that is comforting, that lends strength to my spiritual core, and that is that I can count on seeing my spiritual friends and wandererers in kind at least once in the lunar cycle and upon each of the solar markers. This autumn was no exception. As we near the end of 2009, Tharsos comes near to completing his personal challenge of drawing down each of the 12 Olypmians. It has been an interesting year with some many welcome visitors. We also draw to the end of a year which marks the beginnings of our quest to reach out within our own personal communities and invite those who are interested in our rituals, but not necessarily a part of Spira. It has been a change from our traditional rituals, but brings with it new growth and exciting possibilities.
Our annual Halloween party followed a "recycled costume" theme this year in keeping with our hope for a more sustainable future. It was fun to see the re-vamped costumes and though the party was somewhat small, what we lacked in guests we made up for in enthusiasm.
Personally, we were all thrilled to help Aurelia Dawn celebrate her marriage this last summer. Isea continues on her path to midwifery in her second year of schooling. RavenDreamer continues on his tracking journey and has now set to teach clases from all his years of study. Wolfheart continues her music studies, while Tharsos saw some changes at work. Heather is busy as ever at the Wild Rose College and Sora has found the release of her new CD fulfilling and busy!
