The Ontario grove had a wonderful Yuler at Sagesses home this year. Fabulous food brought by all. We did a card exchange where each of us were assigned one person and got to make/buy that person a card and tell them just how great they are. I think we were all surprised and delighted by the creativity & imagination put into the cards. We also did a group purchase of a gift for each of the kids and it was a pleasure to watch them open and play with their new treasures.

January brought a day out for the grove members as we did a day on the Danforth in Toronto. We window shopped, bought fun hats, scarves and crystals amongst other treats and then we all had dinner at a wonderful Greek Restaurant before heading home on the subway in the snow. Our newest Grove member Cheryl was with us too which was great and we all enjoyed her company greatly!

At our last lunar we drew down Dionysus and were also joined by Ganesh to share with us their wisdom and learning. We decided as a grove that we will be increasing our drawing downs and will do our best to have one every month as we always learn so much and appreciate those sessions.

Luna Alo also advised us at the end of our lunar that she will be going on leave indefinitely from the grove in order to do some personal growth spiritually which she feels she needs to do on her own at this time. We will miss her but wish her nothing but the best on her journey and hope she stays in touch!

Sagesse is officially back full time from her sabbaticle last year and has been reinstated by the other members of her Grove as Wisdom Root. She is VERY happy to be back.

February & March bring us many outtings to hear speakers about totems as well as circling together.

January, February & March birthdays/anniversaries:
On January 25th Cheryl celebrated her birthday
Oona celebrates her 34th birthday on February 17th
Oona & Jim celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary on March 1st

News From CASC

The Grove of Mysteries hosted it's first ever semi-open ritual at Yule, which was at once terrifying and exhilirating. We are pleased to say that it went smashingly and we plan to host 3 open rituals a year, with the next one open at Beltaine. The new members were welcome and added a richness to the ritual refreshing everyone and bringing some cozy yule-tide feelings along with it.

In Twilight Mysteries we welcomed Hermes and Hekate to the circle once again and appreciated the messages of respecting the earth and of hope for the future. It was a message taken to heart by all the members.

Tharsos planned a rite of names and identity for the grove which we all partook in, in January. The masks we made were so diverse and so clearly represented each member. I think we all came away feeling centered in ourselves.

We look forward to welcoming Artemis again in the grove, as well as to some interesting CASC nights to come in the year. We have a whole lot of fun stuff planned and hope to meet lots of new people along the way. Happy Birthday to Isea and Tharsos
